Intro

Every year, Nîmes School of Fines Art welcomes students from abroad. Foreign students may apply to study at Esban either as regular students (after passing the entrance exam or the mid-course admission) or as exchange students coming from a partner institution and staying for a semester or one academic year.

The International relations Office is the correspondent for foreign students wishing to study in Nîmes. It provides help and support for all international students both during their application and throughout their studies.

Academic calendar
The academic year is organized in 2 semesters. The Fall Semester begins in September and ends early January. The Spring Semester begins mid-January and ends in June. The courses usually last all year and exams are held at the end of each semester.

Study plan
Students will attend the courses included in the study plan of the official degree programme. All academic exchanges are framed by a learning agreement signed before the participant’s arrival.
Students should consult Esban ‘Catalogue of Courses’ and ‘Guide of Studies’ where they can find useful information on subjects, professors, activities… These documents are updated every year and can be found on Esban website.

Welcome Day end Buddy system
Incoming students are invited to take part in the Welcome Day held at the very beginning of each the semester. They will be introduced to the staff, to the teachers and they will visit the different sites and workshops of the school. They can also apply for a student buddy.
